Job summary
Mesilla Valley Transportation is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom enterprise applications supporting business objectives. You will lead cross-functional teams, set technical direction, and mentor junior developers.
Ideal candidates have 7+ years in development, strong Azure expertise, and proven leadership. This on-site role requires collaboration with stakeholders and ongoing process improvement across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in application development.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Preferred location El Paso TX or Las Cruces NM.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead development of custom enterprise applications.
- Set technical direction for projects, aligning with goals and best practices.
- Serve as a technical expert on emerging technologies and tools.
- Lead cross-functional teams in development and deployment of solutions.
- Manage full lifecycle from concept to production deployment and maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to Level I and II developers.
