Ideal candidates have 7+ years in development, strong Azure expertise, and proven leadership. This on-site role requires collaboration with stakeholders and ongoing process improvement across teams.

Qualifications

The Application Developer will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of custom enterprise applications utilized by the business in support of achieving objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead the development of custom enterprise applications.
• Set the technical direction for projects, ensuring that all development efforts align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Serve as a technical expert within the department, providing strategic input on emerging technologies and tools.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of sophisticated application solutions.
• Manage the full application development lifecycle, from initial concept to production deployment and maintenance.
• Drive the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards within the team.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure the successful delivery of applications.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to Level I and II developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role may have some mentoring and training required for junior and mid-level developers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Seven or more (7+) years of experience in application development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Extensive experience with the Microsoft Azure platform, including architecture and design.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience leading large teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Commitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Preferred location El Paso TX or Las Cruces NM.
