Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Senior Business Application Architect to own the design, integration, and evolution of the enterprise application ecosystem across defense and GovCon programs. You will translate complex operational needs into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions, serving as the technical authority for our platforms.

You will partner with program leads, IT leadership, and government stakeholders to define architecture strategy and drive implementation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in enterprise application architecture, systems integration, or solutions architecture, with 4+ years on defense, GovCon, or federal government environments.
• Demonstrated experience architecting enterprise solutions for DoD or IC programs with classification boundaries and government compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Government Cloud or AWS GovCloud.
• Knowledge of CMMC, DFARS 252.204-7012, and NIST SP 800-171 in enterprise software contexts.
• Active Secret clearance at hire; TS eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise application architecture blueprint across GovCon and defense environments (ERP, CRM, ITSM, HR/Recruiting, program management).
• Design scalable, secure, interoperable solutions meeting DoD/IC requirements (data residency, classification, access control).
• Architect and oversee integration between enterprise apps and mission systems across hybrid on-prem and cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
• Define API strategy and standards for integrations; lead RESTful and event-driven patterns.
