Job summary

McKesson Corporation is seeking a senior Enterprise Integration Architect to lead architecture across Spring Boot microservices, API governance with Apigee X, and Kafka-driven workflows. Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise integration engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead technical role.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot engineering capability, including Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security 6.x, Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST API design, JPA/Hibernate, and custom Spring Boot starter development.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining shared libraries or internal developer platform tooling for Java microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee X or Apigee Edge for API lifecycle management, policy enforcement, and developer portal management.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, or Google Managed Kafka, including topic design and DLQ handling.
• Deep experience with GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Logging) and containerized deployments.
• Experience architecting MFT solutions and trading partner workflows with SFTP/AS2/PGP.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and govern Spring Boot integration starters and shared libraries.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to application teams building Spring Boot microservices.
• Conduct PR and design reviews to enforce architectural standards and security controls.
• Define CI/CD standards for Spring Boot services using GitHub Actions and related tooling.
• Own the Apigee X API gateway strategy and enforce policies (OAuth/JWT, rate limits, mTLS).
• Define API design standards and lifecycle governance, including OpenAPI specifications.
• Lead architecture for Google Managed Kafka, DLQ, and event-driven patterns.
• Oversee MFT architecture for secure file transfers and trading partner operations.
• Produce integration design documents, diagrams, and ADRs.
