Job summary

McKesson seeks an experienced Enterprise Integration Architect to lead design and governance of Spring Boot microservices, API strategies with Apigee, and Kafka-based event pipelines. You will guide teams across Wellverse’s SaaS and enterprise stack, defining integration patterns, data flows, and ADRs to support scalable, secure solutions.

You will mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and shape CI/CD practices while aligning with McKesson’s total rewards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise integration engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead technical role.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot engineering capability, including Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security 6.x, Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST API design, JPA/Hibernate, and custom Spring Boot starter development.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee X or Apigee Edge for API lifecycle management, policy enforcement, mTLS, and developer portal management.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, or Google Managed Kafka, including topic design, schema registry, producer/consumer patterns, and operational monitoring.
• Deep experience with GCP-native services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace, IAM) and containerized deployments.
• Experience configuring and architecting MFT solutions, trading partner workflows, SFTP/AS2 protocols, and PGP key lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and govern Wellverse's core Spring Boot integration starters and shared libraries.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural oversight, and hands-on guidance to application teams building high-performance microservices.
• Conduct technical design reviews and PR code reviews to enforce architectural standards and security controls.
• Define CI/CD standards for Spring Boot services using GitHub Actions, container scanning, and deployment gates.
• Own the Apigee X API gateway strategy, policy frameworks, and lifecycle management for all Wellverse APIs.
• Lead the architecture for Google Managed Kafka and managed file transfers, ensuring reliability and latency SLAs.
• Serve as the lead solution architect for integration across Wellverse's SaaS and enterprise stack.
