Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a seasoned Enterprise AI Architect to support modernization initiatives for a Department of Veterans Affairs program. You will design secure AI architectures, guide integration across cloud and on-premise platforms, and ensure governance and compliance for HIPAA/VA privacy requirements.

In this contract-based role, you’ll lead AI and ML integration efforts across multiple initiatives, collaborate with Platform Leads, educate stakeholders, and help scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, AI, data science, information systems, OR related field, plus 7+ years of experience; 10+ years may substitute for degree.
• Experience designing secure enterprise AI or ML architectures across cloud and/or on-premise platforms.
• Experience leading enterprise AI integration across multiple initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background.
• Available on contract award and willing to sign a commitment letter.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and oversee secure enterprise AI architectures integrated into VA baseline.
• Apply AI/ML patterns across cloud and on-premise platforms to improve scalability and security.
• Define AI integration with DTC platforms (Salesforce/MuleSoft, Power Platform/Dynamics, Pega, Box, Appian).
• Lead AI integration efforts and validate decisions through architecture gates.
• Establish AI governance, including model selection and HIPAA/VA privacy protections.
• Guide AI/MLE and delivery teams for compliant delivery across initiatives.
• Educate VA stakeholders and DTC leads on AI options and adoption.
