Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience; 10 years may substitute for the degree.
• Experience designing secure enterprise AI or ML architectures across cloud and/or on‑prem platforms.
• Experience leading enterprise AI integration across multiple initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background investigation.
• Available on contract award and willing to sign a commitment letter.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and oversee secure enterprise AI architectures integrated into VA's baseline.
• Apply AI patterns across cloud and on‑prem platforms to improve scalability and security.
• Define AI capabilities integration with DTC platforms (Salesforce/MuleSoft, Power Platform, Dynamics, Pega, Box, Appian).
• Lead AI integration efforts and validate architectural decisions through governance gates.
• Establish AI governance, including model selection, oversight, responsible use, and protection of PII/PHI under HIPAA.
• Guide AI engineers and delivery teams to ensure compliant delivery across initiatives.
• Educate VA stakeholders on AI architecture options and adoption.
