We are hiring Senior Engineers/Scientists/Technicians to lead and provide technical expertise in research projects for the U.S. EPA's Office of Research and Development. Activities include decontamination research, measurement methods development, atmospheric sciences, air quality modeling, and laboratory management.

As a senior professional, you will design, develop, optimize solutions, lead projects, and mentor junior staff. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate and innovate. Responsibilities include writing work plans, quality assurance documents, and reports.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership:
   • Lead technical projects from hypothesis to completion, managing scope, budget, and timelines.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
   • Ensure projects meet client needs, safety, QA standards, and objectives.
2. Technical Expertise:
   • Serve as SME, guiding and supporting team members.
   • Evaluate emerging technologies for project integration.
   • Implement best practices and conduct advanced research and testing.
   • Propose solutions to complex challenges.
3. Mentoring & Training:
   • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering continuous improvement.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
   • Prepare technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.S. in relevant fields; experience may substitute.
• Ph.D. or Master’s preferred.
