Job summary

Duke Energy in Indiana is seeking an Engineering Technologist III or Senior Engineering Technologist based on experience. The role provides technical guidance and leads studies, with opportunities to mentor others and influence project outcomes.

Responsibilities include collaborative teamwork, thorough reporting, and driving improvements in technical knowledge and processes within the utility domain.

Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) to create schematics and templates for standards and capital project support.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Experience with Maximo and/or TIM to develop and support items and Compatible Units (CUs).
• Ability to address change requests by the production teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
• Work within a team environment and collaborates across multiple work groups to accomplish common goals.
• Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
• Independently reviews and prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.
• Conducts engineering and related studies.
• Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
• Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
• Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
• Coaches and mentors other Engineering Technologists and Engineers.
