Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks an Engineering Technician 4 to join our Allegheny Ballistics Laboratory team in West Virginia. You will provide technical support for medium caliber fuze and projectile production, troubleshoot equipment, and work with teams to drive safety, quality, and production improvements.

The role requires interpreting part prints, machine schematics, and product specs, with strong hands-on mechanical skills and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Experience with gaging and SPC methods.
• Ability to read and interpret part prints, schematics and specifications.
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety rules and participate in continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot equipment and drive root cause corrective actions.
• Read prints and schematics to support manufacturing operations.
• Instruct operators and provide tooling and setup support.
• Monitor calibration cycles and maintain production documentation.
• Provide data analysis for review boards and investigations.
