Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations for Medium Caliber Fuze and Projectile production at the Rocket Center, WV site. This 2nd/3rd shift role requires troubleshooting, reading schematics, and developing documentation to ensure safety, quality and production goals.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with 6+ years of related experience, experience with gaging and SPC, and proficiency in CAD and MS Office. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6+ years related experience.
• Experience with gaging and SPC methods.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD.
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety rules in all duties.
• Read and interpret part prints, machine schematics and specs.
• Calibrate gage and instruments; maintain calibration cycles.
• Interact with customers and plant personnel effectively.
• Work with tooling vendors to resolve equipment issues.
• Develop manufacturing processes and documentation.
• Provide data to support investigations and reviews.
• Train operators on safe operation of equipment.
• Monitor SPC data to review manufacturing process.
