Job summary
San Bernardino County Land Use Services – Land Development Division seeks an Engineering Technician V to perform advanced technical tasks and supervise field investigations. The role involves project tracking with ACCELA and preparing exhibits using GIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft 365 for land development projects.
The ideal candidate will have civil engineering knowledge, relevant experience, and a background that includes coordination with Code Enforcement, Planning, Building and Safety, and
Qualifications
- Education/courses must be from an accredited college/university and transcripts included if degree not conferred.
- Experience includes applying civil engineering formulas/theories to construction/repair work.
- Qualifying degrees/courses must be verified and may require credential evaluation for outside U.S. degrees.
Responsibilities
- Supervise or assist with field investigations and project tracking.
- Draft conditions of approval, agreements, and design materials.
- Prepare technical exhibits using GIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft 365.
- Coordinate with internal and external agencies and maintain reports.
