Job summary

San Bernardino County Land Use Services seeks an Engineer III to support land development reviews and project coordination in California. The role emphasizes compliance with county and state regulations across plans and drainage reviews.

Qualifications

PE license as a registered Civil Engineer in CA.
45 semester (68 quarter) units in civil engineering or related field; list coursework.
3 years of professional land use, civil, or related engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience can substitute for one year of required engineer experience.

Responsibilities

Review street, storm drain, grading and erosion plans for compliance with county/state rules.
Evaluate technical reports including WQMP and drainage studies for safety and environmental standards.
Review building plans for compliance with California codes and state regulations.
Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to advance land development projects.
Provide technical leadership and support to Engineer I and II team members.
Ensure projects comply with county standards and relevant state regulations.
