Job summary

County of Anoka Transportation Division seeks an Engineering Technician IV to oversee drafting, surveys, and multi-phase roadway projects. You will direct tasks, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with contractors and agencies to deliver high-quality infrastructure.

The role is full-time, on-site at the Anoka County Highway building, with regular hours and opportunities for advancement within the County’s engineering program. Applicants will use strong surveying and design skills daily.

Qualifications

• Requires accreditation from a technical school or applicable trades program.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Successful pass of driver’s license background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert level support in testing and inspections of grading, paving, curb, concrete, and materials for highway projects.
• Coordinate project details and timelines with stakeholders and agencies.
• Maintain record keeping and documentation for state and federal guidelines.
• Lead project management across construction phases and coordinate field operations.
