Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer to develop, prototype, test, and integrate advanced instruments and equipment to meet specific customer orders. You will analyze requirements, drive design improvements, and participate in system-wide testing, while preparing cost estimates and performance reports for management.

This role requires leading project teams, mentoring Technicians and Specialists, and interfacing directly with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years without degree.
• Ability to travel as determined by the business needs.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and business needs.
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• United States Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops, prototypes, and tests products to meet customer order requirements.
• Analyzes design requirements and test results; recommends improvements.
• Installs and integrates instruments into complex systems; participates in system testing.
• Compiles cost estimates, monitors performance, and prepares reports for management.
• Plans testing and development; uses scientific methods to solve technical problems.
• Leads projects as customer interface and task lead; mentors technicians and specialists.
