Job summary

BryceTech is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer/Scientist to provide scientific, engineering, and technical strategic advisory support to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) under the Joint Use Professional Insight, Technology, Engineering, & Research (JUPITER) program.

This individual will offer senior-level technical expertise and independent insight to AFRL leadership for assessment, planning, development, integration, and transition of advanced technologies and research

Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI).
Doctoral degree with 12+ years experience, or Master’s with 14+, or Bachelor’s with 20+ years.
Experience with space or information/spectrum warfare systems/technologies.
Expertise in a relevant scientific/engineering discipline for AFRL’s mission.
Professional standing and recognized expertise in the technical community.
Ability to provide independent technical advice to senior government leadership.
Experience supporting advanced R&D, tech planning/assessment, or related activities.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level scientific, engineering, and technical advisory support to AFRL leadership.
Conduct strategic technology planning and recommend future R&D investments.
Evaluate status and impact of ongoing and proposed technology programs.
Perform technical studies, analyses, and trade studies.
Conduct systems engineering analyses and architecture assessments.
Provide independent technical assessments regarding development, maturation, and transition.
Assess emerging technologies and opportunities for warfighter capabilities.
Support technology portfolio reviews and program redirection.
Analyze development strategies and transition pathways.
Prepare and deliver technical briefings and reports for AFRL leadership.
Participate in technical boards and advisory activities.
Collaborate with government, industry, academia and research centers.
Maintain knowledge of relevant scientific developments and advancements.
Clearly communicate complex concepts to technical and executive audiences.
