Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Practice Leader for Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources, Engineering and Civil Engineering to drive growth in the Richmond and Charlottesville markets, reporting to the Washington, DC area Branch Manager.

You will lead technical projects, manage budgets, mentor staff, and build client relationships. You will guide proposals for public and private RFPs and promote GEI branding across the practice while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Successful track record as a Seller-Doer with strong client relationships and business development capability.
• Senior Leader respected for technical capabilities and having strong risk and engineering contract management experience.
• Ability to identify and lead engineering project opportunities in the region.
• Collegial team builder with excellent leadership skills.
• Broad understanding of the Richmond area needs, opportunities, and emerging trends.
• Experience supervising/leading/mentoring and growing staff.

We are looking for Practice Leaders in Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources, Engineering and, Civil Engineering, in the Richmond or Charlottesville, Virginia areas. • Willing and able to travel between Richmond, Charlottesville, Washington, DC and Rockville, Maryland offices and client locations on an as-needed basis.
• Technical engineering experience in water resources, energy, and transportation sectors a plus.
