Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a Project Manager II – Engineering to lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects in California. You will develop scopes, manage budgets, schedules, and client communications while coordinating cross-functional teams and pursuing strategic opportunities.

This role emphasizes client liaison, contract negotiations, and delivering projects on time and within budget, with mentorship of staff and collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
2 years of successful management of engineering projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist in proposals and contracts.
Lead or participate in client contract scoping and negotiations.
Serve as primary client liaison to deliver scope, schedule and budgets.
Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design and specifications.
Lead development and execution of the project management plan.
Supervise and mentor the project team; staffing and performance reviews.
Support business development for mini-mega and mega projects.
Lead proposal development and client presentations.
