Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead large-scale defense engineering programs in Baltimore, MD. This role partners with Program Management, Chief Engineering, and IPTs to ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery aligned with technical objectives.

The ideal candidate will guide multidisciplinary teams across the full system lifecycle, defend BOEs, manage schedule and cost, and report to senior leadership. Onsite work is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in engineering or related field (Bachelor's).
• 12+ years with Master's degree.
• 10+ years with PhD. An additional 4 years may be substituted for degree.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across the full system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary engineering interface between PM and functional engineering.
• Lead engineering scope execution within schedule and budget.
• Drive technical execution plans and coordinate resources across teams.
• Provide engineering inputs for reviews, status reports, and leadership briefings.
• Develop and defend engineering BOEs and estimates.
• Oversee CAM activities for engineering work scope.
• Support schedule, cost management, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Lead engineering performance reviews and alignment with program objectives.
• Coordinate staffing plans and workload forecasts with leadership.
• Identify and manage engineering risks and opportunities across IPTs.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure program objectives are met.
• Support development, integration, testing, and transition activities.
