Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Program Manager Level 4 for the Sunnyvale, CA area. You will work with engineering managers and technical leads to ensure end-to-end technical execution, cost, schedule, quality, and staffing for development efforts across disciplines.

The role requires multi-discipline knowledge in systems design, hardware, systems engineering, and integration/test, with a focus on leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8+ years (MS with 6+, PhD with 3+)
• 4 years’ experience as a technical project lead (e.g. IPT lead)
• Understanding of engineering processes with execution experience
• Experience summarizing status reports to technical leadership
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end engineering program execution, including cost targets
• Act as Scrum Master and remove barriers for the team
• Create and maintain executable engineering schedules and budgets aligned to milestones
• Lead engineering proposal activities and manage change control per the SEMP
• Develop and maintain engineering staffing plans and metrics
• Identify risks and drive mitigation plans
• Ensure system technical compliance with statements of work and requirements
