Job summary

PCSI is seeking a Buyer (Engineering Tech IV) at SWRMC- LLTM in San Diego. You will compile material requests, prepare and issue purchase orders, track orders and respond to inquiries. You may interview suppliers, evaluate bids, prepare solicitations, and perform price comparisons.

This role reports to the Procurement Supervisor/Project Manager and supports procurement operations at SWRMC-LLTM. Typical workdays are Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with AbilityOne prioritization for veterans and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of related technical or practical procurement experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and procurement software.
• General knowledge of Navy procurement operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Compile requests for materials, prepare and issue purchase orders, track purchases and inquiries.
• Prepare solicitations, evaluate bids, and execute procurement actions.
• Interview potential suppliers to check prices and specifications and prepare price comparison spreadsheets.
• Expedite deliveries, track orders, and document delays.
