Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support Mechanical and Automation Engineering teams across Pullman, WA and adjacent IDs.

You will coordinate resources, schedules, and budgets, partnering with engineering and operations to drive projects from concept to closeout. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, risk management, and clear stakeholder communications, with a focus on manufacturing automation, robotics, and factory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating technical projects from initiation through implementation.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Working knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices.
• Clear and effective communication skills—written, verbal, and documentation. Quick to learn new skills and open to taking on new responsibilities. Works well in team environments. Must pass a background check and drug test per SEL requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through implementation and closeout.
• Coordinate resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders across Mechanical and Automation Engineering teams.
• Facilitate project reviews, identify risks, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of high-impact solutions.
• Support engineers and technical teams to translate strategic objectives into executable project plans.
