Job summary

Apple is seeking a Staff Engineering Program Manager for the Human Centered AI (HAI) team within Apple Services Engineering in Seattle. You will drive strategic roadmaps across AI research, engineering, and safety, partnering with engineering, research, and senior leadership to shape technical strategies and scalable evaluation methods.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional initiatives, advancing LLM-based evaluation, and mentoring EPMs while applying Generative AI to improve program

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in engineering or technical program management.
• Experience with AI evaluation methodologies (LLM-as-a-Judge, automated and human evaluation).
• Understanding of Responsible AI (safety, reliability, risk assessment).
• Ability to influence technical strategy across large organizations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Shape technical roadmaps, influence investments, and drive priorities.
• AI Evaluation and Responsible AI: Advance evaluation strategies for LLMs and agentic AI systems.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead initiatives across AI research, engineering, infrastructure, and safety.
• Program Strategy and Execution: Drive large-scale AI/ML initiatives with measurable outcomes and risk management.
• EPM Excellence and Innovation: Mentor EPMs, establish scalable PM practices, leverage Generative AI.
• Executive Communication: Translate complex technical challenges for senior leadership.
