Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, seeks a Sr Engineering Program Manager to lead evaluation plans for foundation models and AI features. You will partner with Research, Engineering, Privacy, and Data Science to deliver high-quality data and robust evaluation processes for products reaching over a billion customers.

You’ll drive cross-functional programs, manage risks, and communicate complex technical concepts to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with Apple’s core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE, CS, CE, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale ML-powered and software programs.
• Strong program management, analytical and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation and negotiation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own the evaluation plan for foundation models or AI features, including scope, metrics, timelines and launch-readiness criteria.
• Partner with product, research, data science and engineering teams to define evaluation requirements, methodologies, and tooling.
• Drive multiple complex workstreams with clear dependencies and critical path; manage risks and stakeholders.
• Manage annotation and data collection operations to deliver high-quality evaluation data on schedule.
• Ensure data strategy aligns with Apple’s values and privacy standards; communicate progress to leadership.
