Job summary

Northern Natural Gas in Omaha, NE is seeking a Training Solutions Lead to oversee the development and deployment of training programs and qualification standards for engineering and other technical teams.

You will research effective delivery methods, lead recruiting and onboarding, and ensure staff are equipped to excel in engineering and operations projects while applying best practices and new technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
• Six+ years of gas pipeline or related technical experience.
• Three+ years in technical training, mentoring or supervision.
• Experience with curriculum development and training delivery.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards (DOT, FERC, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and deliver training related to company, engineering, safety and operations policies and standards for department employees and contractors.
• Provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure staffing, onboarding and training of engineering and other technical personnel.
• Manage training curriculum, expectations and opportunities for engineering teams, sourcing and developing technical courses.
• Ensure engineering staff are trained to manage projects within company standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and industry SMEs to stay current on standards and developments.
• Lead onboarding and initial training for all new engineering team members and ensure workspace setup (hardware and software access).
• Manage engineering intern program aligned with strategic vision, including university relationships and participation in career fairs.
