Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks an Engineering Office Leader/Project Manager to oversee daily operations, guide project scope, schedule and budget, and coordinate with the main office. You will supervise staff and ensure design quality meets the firm’s standards.

You will cultivate client relationships, forecast staffing and facilities, review work, and contribute to proposals and marketing initiatives within this employee‑owned firm that values collaboration and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited engineering program is required.
• Professional Engineer License is required.
• 10+ years of experience in a specialized engineering discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage office operations, ensuring project objectives meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, pursuing new business opportunities.
• Monitor WIP, billings, AR, and cash flow; manage staffing and facility needs.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with professional standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with main office and marketing for proposals and strategic plans.
• Mentor staff, hire/train, and address performance and staffing needs.
