Job summary

Quicken Inc is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a web and mobile engineering team responsible for delivering key customer experiences. The role emphasizes strong people management, customer empathy, product partnership, and technical judgment, with a keen interest in AI-enabled software development.

The ideal candidate will mentor engineers, drive performance, and partner with Product and Design to translate customer problems into scalable solutions while maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software, 4+ years in engineering leadership with ownership of delivery and team development
• Strong people-management skills with track record of building and retaining high-performing teams
• Deep web/mobile development experience and knowledge of modern frontend tech (React) and mobile client development
• Experience partnering with Product and Design on customer problems, discovery, trade-offs, and success metrics
• Ability to translate customer workflows into engineering plans and measure outcomes
• Solid project management: roadmaps, dependencies, release planning, risk communication
• Experience with Agile processes and working with UX designers to build usable apps

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 6-8 web and mobile engineers
• Provide growth pathways through goal-setting, 1:1s, performance feedback, and recognition
• Lead development and delivery of customer-facing web and mobile experiences
• Partner with Product and Design to translate problems into engineering plans and observability
• Own delivery management: roadmap alignment, resource planning, schedule tracking, risk management
• Ensure apps meet performance, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability requirements
• Guide architecture reviews, build systems, CI/CD improvements, and developer productivity
• Foster ownership, learning, collaboration, and strong execution across the team
