Quicken Inc. is recruiting a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8–10 web, mobile, and full-stack engineers responsible for Quicken Business & Personal experiences.

You will guide technical direction, enable delivery, and coach engineers toward greater leadership while staying hands-on when needed. You will shape AI-native development, collaborate with Product and Design, and ensure architecture, quality, and security standards across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, incl. 4+ years managing engineers.
• Track record hiring, coaching, and retaining engineers and growing senior staff.
• Experience leading customer-facing software from planning through launch and operation.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and coaching engineers on their use and risk controls.
• Strong web development depth with React/Redux and mobile development via React Native and/or iOS/Android.
• Solid judgment across architecture, APIs, microservices, databases, testing and operations.
• Strong product sense, customer empathy, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Scrum or Kanban and balancing short-term delivery with long-term health.
• Experience in fintech, personal finance, or consumer software is a plus.
• BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.

• Lead and develop a team of 8–10 web, mobile, and full-stack engineers with clear goals and regular coaching.
• Grow and retain strong engineers and foster ownership, collaboration, and high standards.
• Contribute to AI-native development strategy and coach adoption of AI tools and workflows.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to understand customer workflows and define success measures.
• Own engineering planning and delivery for web, mobile, and full-stack across roadmaps, resources, releases, and risk.
• Guide architecture and service integration with cloud and shared-platform teams; participate in code reviews.
• Ensure quality, performance, security, accessibility, and maintainability of software.
• Own operational readiness, observability, incident response, and long-term fixes.
