Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to guide a Solutions Engineering team in Austin. You will own hiring, coaching, and performance management across multiple levels while ensuring high delivery quality for active customer programs.

You will drive the full deployment lifecycle—from ConOps and deployment design to field execution, handoff, and post‑engagement reviews—while upholding rigorous technical standards on runbooks, documentation, and debriefs.

• Funnel customer signal back to Product Management and Core Engineering with prioritized specificity.

Job description

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years directly managing engineers.
• Track record leading customer-facing or forward‑deployed engineering teams in defense, autonomy, or comparable high‑stakes B2B environments.
• Strong technical credibility, can read Python, C++, or Rust and evaluate integration architecture decisions.
• Excellent written communication.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
