Job summary

Amazon Traffic Engineering is seeking a Senior Manager to own SDO's service oriented connectivity architecture, builder experience, and regional expansion. You will lead a team of senior engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and drive strategies that enable secure, highly available, and cost-efficient services at Amazon scale.

The role requires directing large deliverables, managing managers, and aligning stakeholders across product, program management, and engineering groups.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience, including managing managers.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Own service oriented connectivity architecture and builder experience.
• Lead regional expansion and drive delivery of large-scale infrastructure programs.
• Shape long-term technical roadmap and set ambitious performance goals.
• Foster a thriving engineering community and coordinate with senior leaders.
• Identify bottlenecks, develop proofs-of-concept, and guide engineers in robust solutions.
