Archer, partnering with JPMorganChase, seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to guide multiple teams delivering real-time data products using Java/Spring Boot microservices on AWS. You will shape architecture, enforce SDLC automation, and drive secure, scalable platforms across the data mesh.

The role emphasizes leadership, production-grade code, and collaboration with enterprise data teams to advance AI-assisted engineering while maintaining reliability and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools, including defining governance/ways of working, measuring outcomes, and ensuring secure handling of sensitive inputs/outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, resiliency/security implications, and high ownership of work quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers.
• Sets and scales operating practices for AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across teams to improve delivery speed and reliability.
• Designs and develops Java/Spring Boot microservices for real-time data product delivery and platform capabilities.
• Owns features end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Optimizes performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of microservices and data pipelines with comprehensive tests.
