Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Payment Platform within the Platform group.

You will lead the engineering organization responsible for orchestrating payment flow and connecting Coinbase to the global financial system, spanning on-ramp and off-ramp processing and settlement across fiat and crypto rails. You will build and scale multiple teams, define the technical vision, partner with Product, Finance, Compliance, and Leadership to drive a multi-quarter roadmap, and

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
5+ years of engineering management including managers
Track record delivering and operating distributed payment systems or high-volume platforms
Strong technical judgment for architecture, reliability, and quality
Experience in regulated environments with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations collaboration

Responsibilities

Build, scale, and lead a multi-team engineering org for Payment Platform
Define technical vision and architectural strategy for Payment Platform infrastructure
Partner with Product, Finance, Compliance, and Engineering to shape multi-quarter roadmap
Own engineering quality, SLAs, incident response, and operational excellence
Drive talent strategy and develop next-gen engineering leaders within the team
