Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Payment Platform within the Platform group. You will lead the engineering organization responsible for orchestrating the payment flow and the network connecting Coinbase to the global financial system.

You’ll build and scale multiple teams, define the technical vision, and partner with leadership to drive the multi-quarter roadmap. You will own engineering quality and operational excellence, overseeing incident response and SLAs while

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years of engineering management experience (including 2+ years managing managers)
• Experience delivering and operating high-volume financial/infrastructure platforms
• Strong technical judgment on architecture, reliability and quality
• Experience in regulated environments with Risk/Compliance
• Uses generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and lead a multi-team engineering organization across Payment Platform
• Define technical vision and architectural strategy for Payment Platform infrastructure
• Partner with Product, Finance, Compliance, and Engineering leadership on multi-quarter roadmap
