Job summary

MZLA Technologies Corporation is leading Thunderbolt, an open-source AI product initiative behind Thunderbird. This is a hands-on senior engineering management role to guide a small team from R&D into mature enterprise-grade software, balancing rapid delivery with high-quality, secure, user-centric solutions.

You will work with product and technical leadership to set direction, maintain code quality, and scale the platform for global deployment while preserving user privacy and data control.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software development experience with senior leadership or complex product delivery.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams including senior engineers or senior ICs.
• Track record of shipping polished, enterprise-grade products.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution with clear priorities, ownership, timelines and quality expectations.
• Manage engineers and contractors with coaching, feedback, and development.
• Stay close to code quality by contributing, reviewing, and evaluating tradeoffs.
