Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the daily operations of the Engineering Department. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of engineering or facilities maintenance experience, incl. at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, preventive maintenance, and life safety systems.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and CMMS.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call emergency response.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant, CPO, OSHA, Electrical, Plumbing, or HVAC certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Engineering Department, including rooms property maintenance program, training, and coaching.
• Respond to work tickets, maintenance requests, and guest concerns in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Support hotel renovations, capital improvement projects, and equipment replacements and ensure work is completed safely, and on time.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, fire and life safety standards, building codes, Marriott brand standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage engineering shop inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, mechanical rooms, and hotel grounds to ensure quality standards and asset protection.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership and other departments to support daily operations, special projects, and exceptional guest service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the property with frequent lifting and carrying of objects.
• Ability to walk, climb stairs and ladders, stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
