Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Review Engineering team of 20+ engineers across the US and India. You will own reliability, guide technical direction, and partner with Product, Design, Security, and Clinical Operations to deliver scalable care workflows.

You’ll mentor technical leads, drive hiring and career growth, champion testing and security in a HIPAA/SOC2 environment, and help shape the next generation of health-tech leaders in a remote-first setup with

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment, including 3+ years leading multiple teams through technical leads or managers.
• Experience leading distributed/multi-site teams across time zones (US/India) and collaboration beyond direct reporting lines.
• Hands-on full-stack engineering background with ownership of production systems and incident response in regulated environments (HIPAA/SOC2).

Responsibilities

• Lead 20+ engineers across multiple agile squads (US and India) through dedicated technical leads.
• Own production reliability for Review-owned systems and coordinate incident response and RCAs.
• Set technical vision and lead across design and sprint processes with Staff Engineers.
• Drive sprint transparency, risk management, and data-driven interventions.
• Partner with Product, Design, Security, Clinical Ops, and other teams on shared systems.
• Own hiring, leveling, and career growth for direct reports and leads.
• Foster a culture that grows early-career engineers into health-tech leaders; promote autonomy.
• Champion testing, quality, and security in a HIPAA/SOC2 regulated environment.
