Job summary

Ziply Fiber seeks a Senior Manager, Engineering in Everett, WA to lead teams designing scalable fiber networks and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will oversee end-to-end design, coordinate with external partners, and drive innovation in design methodologies to support large-scale deployments.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with construction, operations, product, and finance to achieve deployment readiness and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience in large-scale fiber design, route planning, permitting, and construction-ready deliverables.
• Familiarity with GIS, CAD tools, asset management systems, and engineering workflows.
• Experience managing internal teams and third-party engineering vendors.
• Knowledge of permitting processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance for fiber deployments.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end program direction to organize and execute a fiber engineering program across multiple teams.
• Develop and execute the fiber engineering design strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee end-to-end design processes including route planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure designs are scalable, cost-efficient, and maintainable over time.
• Lead and mentor engineering managers, designers, and support staff to deliver on schedule.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, product, and finance to align engineering design with deployment readiness.
