Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead electronic component development and product quality across global teams. You will guide lifecycle roadmaps, manage budgets, and drive supplier partnerships to meet evolving needs.

Required are an engineering degree and experience with automotive/mining contexts, a track record in quality programs, and strong leadership of large, distributed teams. Onsite roles in Mossville, IL or Dallas, TX with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical or computer engineering.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams of 20+ people.
• Experience with electronic component products and quality management.
• Supplier and program budgeting experience, with capital process familiarity.
• Knowledge of manufacturing audits, risk assessment and defect containment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers and managers in electronic component development and quality.
• Drive lifecycle product roadmaps and strategic partnerships with suppliers.
• Develop budgets, staffing plans, and KPIs for the organization.
• Ensure regulatory, environmental, and cybersecurity compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Promote digital engineering practices and data-driven development.
