Job summary

FalconX is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Credit team to lead the core engine driving our credit systems, including the margin notification engine and loan booking system. You will optimize data accuracy, reliability, and architectural integrity while guiding senior engineers through performance cycles and hires.

You will drive architectural decisions, streamline workflows, and champion pragmatic engineering across product requirements with a focus on scalable fintech solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on people management experience.
• Strong engineering foundation in backend systems, with primary proficiency in Python.
• Proven ability to make decisive calls on technical scope, feature trade-offs, and pragmatic engineering solutions.
• Domain experience in fintech/credit is preferred.
• Nice-to-have: Product Management experience (~1 year).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the reliability, precision, and efficiency of core credit applications (Margin Notification Engine, Loan Booking Systems).
• Drive architectural roadmap decisions, prioritizing refactoring and system longevity alongside product requirements.
• Streamline engineering workflows by removing friction, cutting redundant work and avoiding over-engineered solutions.
• Integrate modern development tools, including AI tools, into daily engineering processes to boost overall team efficiency.
• Direct a team of senior technical professionals across performance reviews, hiring, retention, and team alignment.
