Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Display Products team, maturing display technologies for product development and overseeing Mechanical and Optical Engineers. You will drive technical strategy and customer-focused solutions onsite.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with avionics displays, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Typically requires degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a group of engineers to meet program commitments.
• Ensure design plans align with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes.
• Participate in budgetary planning for staffing, facilities, and capital needs.
• Manage and evaluate engineering personnel to deliver required results.
• Lead a range of engineers and technologists from entry to senior levels.
• Demonstrate deep technical expertise in Displays and related tech.
• Support roadmaps development for Product and Technology and engage stakeholders.
• Assist in Strategic & Financial Planning and Annual Operating Plans with Product Managers.
• Maintain awareness of technology trends and RTX competitive position.
