Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Display Products team. You will lead architecture and integration work for advanced cockpit displays and mentor other engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years of aerospace experience, strong systems engineering and regulatory knowledge (DO-254/178B/160), and proven leadership across multi-discipline programs. Onsite in Cedar Rapids with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant aerospace experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Leadership experience in developing certified aerospace products and managing significant technical projects.
• Demonstrated architecture creation with cross-domain collaboration for pursuits.
• Knowledge of avionics regulatory and certification requirements: DO-178B/C, DO-254, DO-160.
• Experience with display technology and flight deck display programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a display system architect, creating technical approaches aligned with product line foundations and customer needs.
• Lead architecture and design of display products, interfacing with internal units to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Engineering Processes and program requirements per design plans.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in avionics and contribute to the technology roadmap.
