Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering for the Pendo for Agents team in New York City. You will own the technical direction end-to-end, guide architecture decisions, and drive delivery while shaping the growth of a high-potential team.

Collaborating with Product, Design, and senior engineers, you will balance speed with quality, coach engineers, and set a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. This role is hybrid, based in NYC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience including people management.
• Hands-on architecture with LLM/agent systems (RAG, tool-calling, orchestration).
• Experience delivering in greenfield or early-stage product areas.
• Able to manage delivery commitments across sprint/quarterly planning.
• Strong build-versus-buy judgment in AI tooling landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of engineers with growth plans.
• Own end-to-end technical direction and architecture decisions.
• Guide prioritization, planning, and delivery with accountable outcomes.
• Partner with Product and Design to ship high-quality features using Agile practices.
• Stay hands-on technically while coaching the team and solving hard problems.
