Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering for the Pendo for Agents team in New York City. You will own the technical direction, delivery quality, and the talent pipeline, partnering with Product, Design, Staff and Principal engineers to shape architecture and growth.

This hybrid role centers in NYC with leadership responsibilities and hands-on technical impact. You will lead two teams as the product area scales, drive architecture decisions, and accelerate delivery cadence while maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering leadership with people-management experience.
• Hands-on architecture experience with LLM/agent systems and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience delivering in greenfield or early-stage product areas.
• Proven ability to drive delivery across sprint/quarterly cycles.
• Strong build-versus-buy judgment in an AI tooling landscape.
• Technical foundation in frontend or backend languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of engineers today with growth to two teams.
• Own the technical direction for Pendo for Agents end to end.
• Guide prioritization, planning, and delivery across sprints and quarters.
• Partner with Product and Design to deliver high-quality features.
• Stay hands-on in architecture while coaching the team and solving technical challenges.
• Drive AI-enabled operations and define how AI tooling is used by the team.
• Own headcount planning and partner with recruiting on hiring decisions.
• Foster a culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement.
