Job summary

BuildOps is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Integration Platform, architecting data movement across the ecosystem and guiding multiple teams. You will stay hands-on where it matters, translating long-term strategy into practical execution, and shape engineering direction for reliability and scale.

You will drive API design, data models, and service patterns while mentoring engineers, raising the technical bar, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in modern JavaScript/TypeScript environments.
• Experience leading large technical initiatives and cross-team collaboration.
• Strong background with data platforms, data integrity, and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain the integration and data platform from the ground up.
• Lead technical decisions across the stack for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Design and optimize APIs and service patterns for product experiences and third-party integrations.
• Improve database design and query performance for efficient storage and retrieval at scale.
• Drive observability, monitoring, and operational excellence across services.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Influence multiple engineering groups through leadership and collaboration.
• Define testing practices in partnership with QA and engineering teams.
