Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering within the Consumer and Community Banking technology – Lending Innovation. You will lead a team, manage day‑to‑day implementation, ensure compliance with standards, and align work with business requirements and best practices.

You will drive AI-assisted development adoption, oversee open APIs, and mentor engineers while coordinating dependencies with other teams to deliver customer‑facing lending technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training plus 5+ years of applied experience; coaching experience.
• 10+ years professional software engineering in SDLC and developer tools.
• Experience leading enterprise‑approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, security and resiliency.
• Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists.
• Proven full‑stack development with Java/Spring in AWS/Cloud.
• Proven track record in leading software engineering teams and mentoring talent.

Responsibilities

• Executes innovative software solutions and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and value at scale.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies across teams.
• Guides the immediate team on daily tasks and outputs with clear expectations.
• Manages stakeholder relationships within compliance and business requirements.
