Job summary

The Princeton Review is modernizing how engineering works and is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the transformation. You will report to the VP of Engineering and guide a team of up to 8 engineers, helping stand up the org's first layer of engineering management over the next two quarters.

You will champion real CI/CD, AI-assisted development, and a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous learning, partnering with Product and Design to align technical plans

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with 3+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams.
• Led or driven teams operating with real CI/CD, automated testing, and short release cycles.
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET, React, and cloud-native design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute hands-on to code, architecture, and technical design while leading your team (40/60 IC/management split).
• Design and implement modern engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code review, feature flagging, static analysis.
• Mentor engineers to move from reactive delivery to sustainable ownership of their systems end to end.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate business goals into technical plans and ensure execution.
• Drive measurable improvements in engineering KPIs.
