Job summary

Sydecar is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead one of its core product engineering teams. You will own high-impact initiatives with Product and Design, translate company strategy into actionable technical plans, and guide architectural thinking to balance speed with sustainability.

You will develop engineers and future leaders, promote craftsmanship, and create clarity across engineering, product, and cross-functional partners to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

3–5 years engineering management in fast-moving, product-led environments.
8+ years hands-on software engineering experience.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of engineering management experience in fast-moving, product-led environments
8 or more years of hands-on software engineering experience
Ability to support technical design and strategy
Track record of leading teams that have shipped meaningful, high-impact product work
Startup or high-growth experience, including venture-backed startup or fast-scaling company experience
Product fluency and understanding of software development end-to-end
Systems thinking
Ability to create clarity in uncertainty
Builder's mindset
Legally authorized to work in the country in which applying
Must address current or future employment visa sponsorship needs
