Job summary

Americold in Lynden, WA, seeks an experienced maintenance leader to oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple facilities. You will manage engineering teams, set performance goals, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude, budgeting responsibility, and strong leadership. Occasional travel of up to 5-12% supports development, training, and project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience with at least 3 years in supervision.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in mechanical and basic electrical concepts with hands-on experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and SAP or Oracle CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assign work to engineering and maintenance teams and monitor performance.
• Prepare annual maintenance budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
• Determine work priorities and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines and equipment.
• Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports and inspecting equipment.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Maintain and analyze equipment reliability reports and initiate improvement actions.
• Execute capital projects including bids, requests, and vendor management.
