Job summary

TerraPower LLC in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Quality Assurance Manager for Kemmerer Power Station to implement the QA program meeting 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1 standards. You will coordinate audits, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across departments and suppliers.

You will drive continuous improvement in QA processes, integrate industry standards, and ensure auditable records while collaborating with regulators and project partners to support safe nuclear power operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, quality assurance, or related technical field (or equivalent)
• 8+ years of commercial nuclear power plant QA experience
• 2+ years supervisory or mentoring experience
• Demonstrated competency managing personnel
• High level of knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and terminology
• Experience with interpreting relevant nuclear information and standards in strict procedural and regulatory compliance
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with smart procedures or other software-based procedure tools
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Attention to detail and aspiration for NQA excellence
• Self-starter with innovative solutions and integrity

Responsibilities

• Manages department personnel to ensure training, qualification, and certification requirements are met
• Oversees work product of department personnel and ensures QA activities and records meet requirements
• Coordinates cross-discipline reviews and database implementation
• Develops high-quality procedures to minimize NQA events
• Engages with industry peers, vendors, NEI and others to implement QA methods
• Ensures QA procedures comply with NRC regulations and INPO criteria
• Provides training and mentoring on QA processes and procedures
• Incorporates industry information and regulatory changes into QA procedures
• Maintains auditable quality documents and records
• Schedules internal and supplier audits for QA program
• Collaborates with Senior Manager, Quality Assurance to improve QA program
