Job summary

Datasite is seeking a Team Lead for our Intelligence Platform team in New York. You will drive technical architecture, project delivery, and stakeholder alignment while guiding a seven-person engineering pod.

This is a hands-on leadership role that balances coding with strategic direction and mentoring. You will partner with product, design, and engineering to translate business goals into pragmatic technical plans, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong technical architecture skills for scalable systems.
• Track record leading complex projects with milestones and ownership.
• Effective stakeholder management with cross-functional alignment.
• Mentorship and hands-on engineering leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture decisions for Intelligence Platform systems, balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and delivery speed.
• Drive project delivery across team initiatives with milestones, ownership, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to translate goals into pragmatic technical plans and measurable outcomes.
• Set technical direction for a seven-person engineering pod by mentoring teammates and raising standards.
• Contribute to the codebase while reviewing designs to keep systems maintainable and production-ready.
• Identify risks early, communicate tradeoffs, and drive timely decisions with stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaboration across the pod and remove blockers to maintain momentum.
